I have been there and it is called the desert. If you want to hear God's voice it's as simple as
-quieting yourself down(clearing your mind)
-Focusing your self on Jesus
-Moving to sponteity(ask him a question and listen for the spontaneous thoughts that are His answers and not your own)
-Journalling (writing those thoughts down)
